As I admired my square foot garden the other day something caught my eye. A tiny speck of green. "What's that? Is it- It couldn't be." I thought to myself. It was as it turned out, a teeny-tiny cantaloupe plant just emerging from the soil. And only 5 days from planting!
Since then, the other cantaloupe and several bean plants have sprouted. We should be harvesting our first cantaloupe the week of Hannah's birthday. Which is ironic since I planted the cantaloupe especially for Hannah. I think it is her favorite. She may even like it more than bananas or strawberries!
I can't wait for other garden goodies. I'm so excited.
